IVCF-20O Índice de Vulnerabilidade Clínico-Funcional- 20 (IVCF-20) foi desenvolvido e validado no Brasil (CARMO, 2014).É um questionário simples, de rápida aplicação (5 a 10 minutos) e de caráter multidimensional.Pode ser realizado por profissionais não especialistas ou até mesmo pelo próprio idoso e seus familiares.Dentre os principais objetivos do instrumento estão a identificação do idoso frágil que deverá ser submetido à Avaliação Multidimensional do Idoso (Avaliação Geriátrica Ampla), a elaboração do Plano de Cuidados e aindicação de intervenções interdisciplinares capazes de melhorar a autonomia e independência do idoso e prevenir o seu declínio funcional.A pontuação do índice varia de 0 a 40.IVCF-20The Vulnerability Index Clinical and functionally 20 (IVCF-20) was developed and validated in Brazil (Carmo, 2014).Its a simple questionnaire, fast application (5-10 minutes) and multidimensional character.It can be performed by non-specialist professionals or even by the very elderly and their families.Among the main objectives of the instrument are to identify the frail elderly to be submitted to the Multidimensional Assessment of the Elderly (Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment), the preparation of the Care Plan andindication of interdisciplinary interventions that improve the autonomy and independence of the elderly and prevent functional decline.The index score ranges from 0 to 40.
